Lathrop Lions Cricket Club is very proud to announce once again the formation of KBCC (Koala Bear Cricket Camp) 2012. With is successful launch back in June of 2011 for kids under 12.  Koala Bear Cricket Camp 2012 planning has began for the upcoming season. KBCC officials are planning on holding camp on Saturday's starting June 2nd at the local Mossdale Landing Community Park. This camp will accommdate kid between the ages of 5 to 12. Camp hours are between 9AM to 11AM each Saturday starting from June 2, 2012.

Koala Bear Cricket Camp (KBCC) was created to teach kids about the art, rules, discipline and form of Cricket in a well managed team spirited environment. Participation fee is only $25 a month. LPCL TEAM LINE UP

Attached I am sending you a rough sketch of the team(s) line up. Please be advised, this selection was done randomly and Cricketers were added to groups as they appeared on the list. This is a tentative setup, as play begins we can and will move people around in teams. Also, I would like to advise the Captains, Vice Captains, Practice coordinators  it may come as a surprise to you that you were selected in these club supportive roles. Please if you could assist the club in these vital and visible; designated capacities it would be greatly appreciated.

Note to the all cricket players, I am sure some of you are new to the sport of cricket and some are well seasoned cricket players. This selection was conducted randomly, done for placement reasons; to see how many teams could be created.  Now, out of list of people that have been selected some may not participate and for that reason I have created two consolidated teams A and B with roughly eighteen players. Each team line up will give us plenty of cushion if some do not show up on a regular basis. Again, I would like to emphasis this team line up was conducted randomly so we have some structure prior to the start of the 2012 season.

Furthermore, I would like to advise you that, as stated before some players are very new to the sport of cricket, so I ask each and every member to be supportive and help assist in polishing their skills, teach them the art, discipline and form of cricket. No one will be left behind, everyone will get an equal chance to play, perform, learn and polish their skills in the art of cricket. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions and concerns regarding this line up or if you have anything else on your mind you want to discuss.

Coming MAY 2012

Super 5 Tournament Trophy - Where teams battle in a short boundary ground with 6 players per team and only 5 overs to challenge your opponents and win a game. Each side that bats after a players reaches a score of 30 runs or has played 2 overs; that side can and must retire their opening batman (player) and send in a replacement. Retired batsman can be sent in the last over ONLY by the team's Captain, if all 5 players are out and only one batman is occupying the crease and remains not out. 

Put up a score and challenge your opponents - Coming MAY 2012. Be fast, play hard;score well and become part ofSUPER FIVE.
