Our Pundits are speechless!!!

Our player’s gift wrapped the win for our critics this past Saturday. Lathrop Cricket is proud of the come back from our players who with the exceptional batting performance turned a game that was nearly on the brink of a loss into a great win. Not to undermine the performance of our bowlers and fieldsmen as they used every tactical defense to suppress runs. Our batting order with their aggressive offence brought the win home and this credit goes to four players who stood out amongst their peers; Harry, Ajit, Gurpiar and Arsh. With the steady and cool minded batting, these four batsmen proved to our critics that cricket is a game of chance and luck. Though some of them have had a rough go after their successful debut to the team, Lathrop GIANTS officials had full confidence in the ability of its players coming out of the slump and re-engaging their talent once again in games. Our undefeated stride has been because of the hard work, our passion for cricket and team work. Congratulation to Arsh for his outstanding performance during the SJ Panthers game and special thanks to the commitment of the players who provided excellent partnership and support to Arsh.

Formula for club growth!!!

It is essential that Lathrop Cricket Club sustains its growth, aggressively markets itself using free media channels. Seeking more recruits for the club by indulging in mass publicity, with ongoing perpetual marketing of different events, tournament etc. Creating campaigns that will not only bring awareness to the mission and vision of the club and its existence. This out of the box thinking with implementation of new innovation will assist the club with monetary support to sustain it in the long run. Each initiative put forth must have a purpose and help excel the growth of club, its members and its supporting partners. Club must introduce on-going internal events on a regular basis during by-weeks to engage club members so all get a chance to play consistent cricket. Majority of the club failures occur due to lack of ingenuity, innovation and/or due to compliancy. It is fundamentally important that leadership provide different cricket platforms to its members to help cultivate discipline and skills, help keep club members engaged; getting them repeatedly back into the saddle to face off against local teams.  Setting up of internal tournaments within the club will help boost the moral. Giving, players the opportunity to shine amongst their peers, allowing team members to become more confident of their skills, which could help them during sanctioned league matches, as they face off other teams.  I think this is our winning formula for growth and sustainability as a club.
